Full Job Description

PNTA is seeking to hire part-time Audio Technician to support our growing team and operations. All shifts are paid at a minimum of 4hrs and can vary from full days to 1-2hr requirements. Shifts are available every day of the week, during and after business hours. Since 1975, PNTA has served our local theater, nonprofit, and corporate communities through retail services, production rentals, systems integration, and event production. Our goal is to provide our clients with excellent customer service, clear communication, creative concepts for their productions, and flawless execution on deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining company safety standards in accordance with OSHA guidelines

  • Maintain excellent customer interactions when working on site

  • Displaying a high level of professionalism, courtesy, and kindness with clients and coworkers

    • Leading small teams of Grips loading in and setting up audio equipment on site per instructions from A1 and/or Project Management

Qualifications


Essential

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Capacity to work flexible hours including evenings, afterhours, and weekends

  • Dependability and punctuality

  • Hard-working and self-disciplined

  • Able to work well independently as well as with others

  • Flexible, able to respond with calm efficiency to unexpected or challenging situations

  • Ability to:

    • Manage small audio installations with a few Grips

    • Competent with digital and analog systems

    • Understanding DI use

    • Ability to manage set changes and various band set-ups (tie-ins, striking, A1 communication

    • Familiar with various types of microphones and use cases (SM58, SM57, ND66, etc)

    • Experience with adjusting EQ on microphones and instruments/ringing the room

    • Show confidence and aptitude with signal distribution

    • Experience mixing up to 8 independent channels

    • Experience setting up and running comm systems

Preferred

  • Knowledge of local event services vendors

  • Familiarity with local venues and the Greater Seattle area

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
