Full Job Description

PNTA is seeking to hire part-time Camera Operator to support our growing team and operations. All shifts are paid at a minimum of 4hrs and can vary from full days to 1-2hr requirements. Shifts are available every day of the week, during and after business hours. Since 1975, PNTA has served our local theater, nonprofit, and corporate communities through retail services, production rentals, systems integration, and event production. Our goal is to provide our clients with excellent customer service, clear communication, creative concepts for their productions, and flawless execution on deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining company safety standards in accordance with OSHA guidelines

  • Maintain excellent customer interactions when working on site

  • Displaying a high level of professionalism, courtesy, and kindness with clients and coworkers

Qualifications


Essential

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Capacity to work flexible hours including evenings, afterhours, and weekends

  • Dependability and punctuality

  • Hard-working and self-disciplined

  • Able to work well independently as well as with others

  • Flexible, able to respond with calm efficiency to unexpected or challenging situations

  • Ability to:

    • Set up cameras with tripods, teleprompters and jibs

    • Adjust color balance, ISO, frame rate, aperture and focus

    • Be comfortable with static and roving cameras

    • Be comfortable with IMAG vs Broadcast camera operation

    • Operate a camera jib or crane

    • Operate a Black Magic, Ursa or similar camera

    • Determine proper lens selection based on focal length and aperture

    • Be comfortable taking directions on comms during live events

    • Deal with content management and playback, following cues accurately and quickly

    • Be confident with video signal distribution (SDI, ethernet, fiber)

    • Have and understanding of graphics placements add properly framing shots

Preferred

  • Knowledge of local event services vendors

  • Familiarity with local venues and the Greater Seattle area

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
